Janey Street is a multi-talented recording artist. Originally signed to Arista Records and mentored personally by Clive Davis in the 80’s, Street was promptly dropped from her label with no notice. Now this familiar voice is BACK with a new label and EP, “I’m Not the Girl I Used to Know.” An album has never been so aptly named. From growing up in New York, finding success, losing it all, and finding it again, Street’s story is one of triumph. In this candid interview with Matt Bailey, Janey talks about traveling to all the places her career has led her, as well as the triumphs and struggles she faced during her early career. Plus, she gives her thoughts on the industry today.
