Award-winning magician Helder Guimaraes sits down with Matt at New World Stages!
Helder, a two-time Academy of Magical Arts Parlour Magician of the Year, first appeared in New York in Nothing to Hide, directed by Neil Patrick Harris. After a 3 year absence, Helder brings his style of theatrical magic back to Off-Broadway in Verso, a show a bout the truth in deception.
Matt caught up with Helder after a matinee performance at New World Stages. The interview covers Helder’s beginnings in magic, what he learned about New York audiences his first time around, and why storytelling is just as important as the illusion.
