Rob Paulsen’s Big Voice, Big Career, and Even Bigger Heart
The Animaniacs star sits down with Matt Bailey ahead of the premiere of the hit cartoon series’ revival on Hulu premiering November 20th.
Rob Paulsen is one of the most well-known and respected voice actors. His career has spanned 5 decades, beginning with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and winding its way through Animaniacs, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Pinky and the Brain, and countless others. Through it all, Paulsen has managed to make each character his own.
Paulsen is also the author Voice Lessons, out now.
However, his lasting legacy will not be the silly toon voices. Rather, it’s what he does outside the vocal booth that shows his own true character. An incredibly Grateful Paulsen has spent countless hours calling hospitalized children as their favorite characters. He also puts significant effort into raising money for the physically disabled. And of course, he is a fixture on the fan convention circuit.
Cult-classic Animaniacs is returning–at the request of Steven Spielberg, no less–to incredible fanfare. Paulsen, he says, is just grateful to continue making people happy with his voice.
