Josh Stamberg teases what to expect from WandaVision
Josh Stamberg plays S.W.O.R.D acting director Timothy Hayward on WandaVision, the show that is creating a lot of buzz among Marvel Universe fans for its unique approach to storytelling.
If you haven’t heard yet, WandaVision tells the story of Wanda Maximoff (a.k.a the Scarlet Witch) and her android boyfriend Vision. The series picks up after the events of Avengers: Endgame and pays homage to classic television sitcoms–while telling a compelling Superhero action-mystery at the same time.
It was awesome getting to chat with Stamberg–known for playing morally ambiguous characters like Bill Shine in the Loudest Voice and Darius in ABC/CMT’s Nashville. He talks about getting to play one of the good guys again in WandaVision.
Plus, we also discuss his recent appearance on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit where he played one of those reprehensible characters–a corrupt judge in a scenario ala Brett Kavanaugh. The episode was filmed in New York as part of Law and Order returning to production post-lockdown.
We also delve into his process as an actor, and what it was like to be out of work and home during the quarantine.
